Nekko-ya is located on the edge of the entertainment district Isemiya, opposite the Ohashigawa River. It mainly serves local seasonal seafood. The restaurant is part of the Nekko Group which has two other restaurants in Matsue.

Opening Times: Lunch: 11:30am – 2:00pm. Dinner: Sunday to Thursday: 5:00pm – 10:30pm (Last orders at 10:00pm) and Friday/Saturday: 5:00pm – 11:00pm (Last orders at 10:30pm). (Closed on the first Monday of every month.)

Getting There: Take the North Exit out of Matsue Station and use the underground walkway to cross the main road opposite. Head north up the road (towards the river away from the station) and turn left at the river. Head up that road (river on your right) and it is located on a corner just before a big ryokan (Japanese inn) on your left.
