Karakoro-kobo Art Studio is a popular arts and crafts centre and events venue. The shops are run by local artisans and mainly sell hand-made accessories, and handicrafts.

On the 2nd floor is a Kimono rental shop from which you can hire a kimono for a few hours. Some of the other shops also have craft-making sessions (crystal, stone, stained-glass, silverware etc.)  Built in a classical European style, the building was originally a bank, and the old bank vaults are now used for art
exhibitions and other events.
