Tamatsukuri Yu Shrine

Tamatsukuri Yu shrine is located upstream on the east side of the Tamayu River.

The ancients used to carve magatama beads out of the green and red agate which was found on Mt. Kasen in the eastern area of Tamayu.

The agate is said to be sacred, and it is believed that if you touch the stone while making a wish, your wish will come true.

Getting there: Bus/taxi or a 25 minute walk from Tamatsukuri Onsen Station.
