Established in 1969, Cafe MG is Matsue’s oldest cafe, and the interior remains the same as when it first opened.

Popular items on the menu include ginger‐fried pork and breaded chicken cutlets.

Set meals cost less that 650 yen.

Ｏpening times : Lunch: 11:30am – 3:00pm. Dinner: 5:30pm – 10:00pm (Closes at 8:00pm on Sunday.)

Getting there : It is around 25 minutes on foot from Matsue Station to the Kyomise-West area.
By bus: Take the bus bound for Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station from bus stop no. 3 at  JR Matsue Station.
Get off at  ’Ohashi North(Ohashi Minamizume)’ stop, turn left and walk along the river. Turn left onto the main road, cross over and turn right onto the narrow side street. You should see the MG sign just a bit further down.
