Motoya is located on the shores of the Ohashi River and serves seasonal dishes with ingredients from Shimane and other places in Japan. It has become quite popular with visitors from overseas, who particularly enjoy the sashimi dishes and the local sake.

Getting there : It is 15 minutes on foot from Matsue Station to Shirakata-Honmachi.

By bus : Take the bus bound for Matsue Shinjiko-onsen Station from bus stop no. 3 at JR Matsue Station and get off at O-hashi south (ohashi minimizume) stop. Turn left at the crossroad (don’t cross the bridge!) and it is on the left side of the street.
