The Horikawa sightseeing boat travels along the castle moat passing under sixteen low bridges. Sailing the waterways is a relaxing way to see the sights and small narrow streets of Matsue.
There are three boarding points around the city -Horikawa Fureai Hiroba in Kuroda -cho, Karakoro Hiroba in Kyomise and Otemae Hiroba in front of Matsue Castle.
Boats run every 15 minutes, and the journey takes around 45 minutes.
